LA Galaxy Youth’s Galaxy Discovery Program (GDP) is a year-round exclusive, immersive and supplemental youth training program that extends the pipeline to the LA Galaxy Academy by actively identifying, cultivating and elevating youth players that are dedicated to succeeding in their soccer career and with the LA Galaxy. All GDP players must be identified and invited to take part by the LA Galaxy.
ASSESSMENT DETAILS: The GDP Assessment session is a free 90-minute opportunity for players to showcase their individual abilities, through technical and tactical exercises, in front of our LA Galaxy Youth Staff. This is not an open assessment. During registration, players are required to answer questions regarding their soccer history and will be accepted to the assessment if the LA Galaxy staff believes they are of appropriate level for the GDP. Staff are looking for players that play in pre-Academy, Flight 1, ECNL, MLS Next or an equivalent level. If identified at an assessment session, the LA Galaxy will contact the player and invite them to take part an upcoming GDP Cohort. If players are not of level for the GDP Assessment, players will be notified.
AGES: 8-14 years old (boys and girls)
SKILL LEVEL: Exhibit a high-level of soccer aptitude (Flight 1, ECNL, MLS Next or an equivalent level)
ADMITTANCE TO ASSESSMENT: Must apply and be accepted by the LA Galaxy

FULL YEAR GDP PROGRAM COST: $1,295
Through the GDP your player will receive high-caliber instruction in an unrivalled training environment. GDP is not intended to take the place of a player’s current club, rather it should be used as a supplemental training to advance a player’s soccer skills and passion to succeed.
