What is included in the registration fee?
Registrants will get a Grassroots Program jersey once a year. The registration also comes with other LA Galaxy benefits such as a complimentary ticket per season, discount to the team store, and more!
What should my child bring with them to class?
All participants should bring appropriate shoes, athletic clothes, shin guards (optional) and a water bottle. Please do not bring a soccer ball as all provided equipment will be onsite. Kinecta Soccer Center does not allow cleats. Cleats are okay at Galaxy Park.
How long are classes?
Classes are two-hours long, once a week.
What are the hours of class?
Our classes vary in time dependent on the day of week and location. For the most up to date schedule, visit the Grassroots Program page.
When do Grassroots Programs seasons take place?
Classes run year-round! Seasons tend to run 11 consecutive weeks. We typically have four seasons a year. We offer classes every day of the week! For the most up to date schedule, visit the Grassroots Program page.
How many children will be in each class?
The Grassroots Program has a class capacity of 22 kids. [/learn_more
You are more than welcome to stay and watch. We ask that parents stay outside the field during class.
Can I stay and watch my child during the class?
What other locations do you host classes?
Currently we host classes at Galaxy Park and Kinecta Soccer Center Powered by the LA Galaxy.
What is your weather policy for outdoor classes?
- Weather Cancellation – Classes may be cancelled or postponed by LA Galaxy Youth due to severe weather. Cancellation decisions are at the sole discretion of LA Galaxy Youth.
- Decision & Communication Timeline – Our team will only send an email if your class is cancelled. The timeline of communication is as follows:
- For classes starting from 8:00AM-11:00AM, a decision will be made and communicated at 6PM the night before.
- For classes starting from 4:00PM-7:00PM, a decision will be made and communicated at 12PM day of.
- If a drastic change of weather takes place after the above communication, we will send an email as soon as possible noting the change.
- Once a class is cancelled, it remains cancelled no matter what the weather ends up being at the time of class.
- Weather Refund Policy – Our team wants to ensure the weather does not affect your experience with our programs. The refund policy is as follows:
- If a class is cancelled by LA Galaxy Youth due to inclement weather, you will receive a full refund for that specific class.
- If the class is still being hosted, but you are unable to attend due to a weather-related reason, please email programs@lagalaxy.com for assistance.

How do I register for the Grassroots Program?
Find your desired class and click on “Register Now.” Follow the prompt to register and pay.
Can we try out before registering?
Yes, we allow all new participants to do a free trial class before registering. Free trials can only be taken in classes that are not at maximum capacity. You can request a free trial class by clicking here.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. We offer a sibling discount of 10% off each additional child’s fees. For a second day of class (twice a week) you will receive 10% off the additional class fees. Registrants may only use one discount code per registration. If you enter two discount codes, you will be refunded the amount of the lesser discount code.
Do you offer a Season Ticket Member discount?
Yes, a discount of 20%. Please email programs@lagalaxy.com or call LA Galaxy Programs at (310) 630-2287 to retrieve the discount code. Registrants may only use one discount code per registration. If you enter two discount codes, you will be refunded the amount of the lesser discount code.
What is the refund/cancellation policy?
- Cancellation Before Season Start: Full refund.
- Cancellation After Season Start: Refunds are not available once the season has started. If you are a new customer, we suggest scheduling a free trial class prior to registering.
What is the make-up class policy?
- There is a limit of 2 make-up classes per 30 days.
- There are no refunds or credits for further missed classes.
- For the Grassroots Program, since there are limited makeup options, players are allowed to play up an age group in order to makeup their class. Please email programs@lagalaxy.com if this is the case.
- Make-up classes can be scheduled any week, including the final week of the season. If scheduling a make-up during the final week, your child will not receive a certificate during the make-up class.
- All make-up classes must be scheduled during the same season. Scheduling a make-up class in a future season for a class missed the previous season is not allowed.
What if we can't make it to a class?
- Login to your DaySmart Account
- On your dashboard, scroll down to My Enrollments
- Under the class, click on the three dots next to View Class
- Click Make-Up an Event
- Select the class you will be absent for
- Select a new class that you would like to attend instead
- That’s it! You have now been added to the new class for the day you have selected. You will receive an automated confirmation email with more information.
Can we join a season after the start date?
Yes, all of our programs have open enrollment. If there is space in a class you can still register, and the class fee will be prorated at the time of registration.
Do you accept walk up registrations?
Yes, as long as the class is not at capacity. Please email programs@lagalaxy.com or call LA Galaxy Programs at (310) 630-6128 to find out if your desired class has space.
Do you accept cash upon check-in?
No, we do not accept cash payments. We only accept payments via our online registration platform, DaySmart.
