INDIVIDUAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT SERIES

The LA Galaxy Individual Player Development Series (IPD) is an intensive and specialized 60-minute training series for intermediate/advanced players ages 8-14 (boys and girls) who are dedicated to mastering their technical skills. Each 4-week specialized series will cover a variety of topics including ball mastery, striking, defending and speed and agility. All participants will leave each session having learned advanced moves that will help their overall confidence and technical ability.

The next 4-week series focus will be Ball Mastery/Goalkeeping.

BALL MASTERY

Players will be individually pushed on their technical ability through advanced maneuvers and testing one’s comfortability on the ball. Each session will provide a challenging environment through advanced techniques. Players can expect to receive thousands of touches each session and be introduced to concepts that can be used as they continue their soccer journey.

GOALKEEPING

Goalkeepers will work on a multitude of elements, including but not limited to: game reading, decision making, shot stopping, 1v1s, crosses, transitions, distribution and much more.

PROGRAM SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

To ensure the IPD is challenging and that all players meet the intermediate/advanced skill level, during registration we ask each player to provide what team they play for and the league level that team currently plays in. Upon review, each player will receive communication regarding their acceptance. If a player does not meet the skill level requirement, you will be fully refunded and an LA Galaxy Youth Programming staff member will contact the Guardian to help your player find a better fitting Youth program.

The IPD is not intended to take the place of a player’s current club, rather it should be used as a supplemental training to advance a player’s soccer skills and passion to succeed.
